SEE BELOW FOR SCHEDULE
Growing Roots is pleased to announce its summer program for the current year, designed to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners, upholding our commitment to child-centered learning. Children, ages 2.5 to 6 (potty-trained), will thrive in our expansive outdoor mud kitchen and play space, conveniently located steps from our indoor classroom, where ample unstructured play fosters creativity alongside structured activities led by our experienced staff, enriching their learning journey.
Unstructured play & nature exploration develops gross motor skills, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Tinkergarten activities incorporate elements of STEM through engaging activities, fostering a love of nature and learning.
Blend of structured learning and unstructured exploration provides opportunities for children to follow their interests, experiment, and learn through firsthand experience.
Mixed age groups foster social and learning interactions between older and younger children. Big kids teach, little kids reach.

Registration vs Enrollment: When you register you will be placed on an interest list and you will be contacted to fill out enrollment paperwork, which is the paperwork to participate in the program. Enrollment is complete after paperwork and first payment has been made.
Full Summer Commitment: To ensure a consistent and enriching experience, families are asked to commit to the full summer program duration.
Flexible Schedule Options: To meet your family's needs there are a variety of enrollment options including very partial to fulltime. Please note that the schedule you select will be set for the entire summer to ensure consistency and program success. Please note, schedule options may be influenced by availability.
~ full day or half day (mornings) ~
~ 1 to 5 days/ week ~
Complimentary "Flex Week": Enjoy one week off during the summer program without being charged, to accommodate your family's needs.
Please note: While we offer flexible enrollment options, registration for specific days may close early due to student-teacher ratio requirements. For example, if we reach our maximum student capacity for a particular day (e.g., Wednesday), we will be unable to enroll additional students for that day. We encourage early registration to secure your preferred schedule.
IS IT THE RIGHT FIT?
Our summer program at Growing Roots is ideal for families who value outdoor exploration and child-led learning. Children who are naturally curious, enjoy hands-on activities, and thrive in mixed-age settings will flourish in our environment. This program is perfect for families seeking a balance of unstructured play and enriching, nature-based experiences, fostering independence and a love for the outdoors in their children.
